Building energy performance design software NRGpro

NRGpro is useful for building modelling at the pre-proposal stage, for the initial building model or for the selection of energy sources, as well as for the technical design stage, where the exact building solutions and performance need to be assessed. Please note that this programme is not intended for the calculation of thermal resistances of structures or long thermal bridges. Once the data has been prepared for the final design, the designer will be able to verify and validate the energy performance class of the building by calculation.

The programme has been developed in accordance with STR 2.01.02:2016 'Energy performance of buildings. Energy performance certification" and is continuously updated in accordance with changes to the regulation. Therefore, the results of the project developed with NRGpro will always coincide with the results of the similar version of the NRG-sert energy performance certification programme for buildings.

The general management principles and data structure of NRGpro are similar to NRG-sert, the energy performance certification programme for buildings, but NRGpro has more useful features for designers.

NRGpro licence price - 726 €

This amount entitles you to unlimited use (on up to 2 computers*) of the version of the software at the time of purchase, and of any updates released within 12 months of purchase.

After the 12-month period, subsequent software updates are subject to an annual software update fee of €363 per year

Failure to pay the annual software renewal fee on time will result in the termination of the programme renewals under the purchased licence. Subsequent upgrades to the current version of the software are only possible by purchasing a new licence at full price.

How to purchase/renew a licence:

1. Choose a pre-paid account: for a new programme or renewal;
2. Pay for it;
3. Send a copy of the payment and the details of who the licence is to be registered for to ;
4. Once the money has been credited to the SSVA account, we will send you a copy of the licence (with the code for the software registration) and an invoice by email within approximately 1 day.

Is it necessary to have a certificate to perform calculations with NRGpro?

When designing buildings, the legislation does not specify who can or cannot carry out energy performance calculations. It is also not specified by what means, whether it should be done by hand or by software. As the designer is ultimately responsible for the project, it is up to the designer to choose the technical calculation tools. On the other hand, NRGpro can be purchased and used by any building professional with a basic knowledge of the thermal physics of buildings. These subjects are compulsory for all students in advanced building studies. Some colleges have even included the principles of energy performance design of buildings using NRGpro in their curricula.

Is it necessary to undergo training to acquire NRGpro?

The user interface of the software is designed to be intuitive and easy to understand. In addition, the help section of the software provides explanations/explanations of special aspects. Designers using other design applications can easily understand the principles of NRGpro. Therefore, no special training is required for purchasers (see similar question above).
