On Wednesday, the Government approved the inclusion of the Construction Sector Development Agency (SSVA) in the list of public administration entities supervising the activities of economic entities. The SSVA carries out planned and unplanned inspections of construction companies in order to prevent infringements.

The Agency supervises the activities of managers (other than architects) of the main areas of technical activities in the construction of buildings, construction contractors, contractors for the expert examination of the design of the building (part of it) and the expert examination of the building (part of it), and experts in the field of the certification of the energy performance of buildings (PENS).

Operators are checked on the provision of the necessary information and documentation. Inspections shall be either on-site or documentary (off-site).

"Our inspections not only determine the compliance of economic entities with the requirements of the legislation, but also provide them with the necessary advice and methodological support. This is to avoid potential damage to the state, society or the environment", says Aidas Vaičiulis, Director of SSVA.

Planned inspections are carried out in accordance with the annual inspection plan approved by the Director of SSVA.
